Drama List

Because I really need to watch more dramas, and this is a way for me to motivate myself whenever I feel like I don't have the time or energy. My plan is to list all the K-dramas I've watched and review them briefly, and of course I will add more dramas as I go along. If this can help anyone as with what drama to watch next, I'm more than happy to provide that help.

(The order below is chronological, from the earliest broadcast date to the most recent)

Main Cast: Jung Eun Ji (A Pink), Seo In Guk, Hoya (Infinite), Eun Ji Won, Sung Dong Il, Lee Il Hwa, Shin So Yul, Lee Si Eon, Song Jong Ho
Broadcast Period: July 24, 2012 - September 18, 2012
Quick Thoughts: The first real K-drama I ever watched, and probably the best one I've seen yet as well. This show had amazing writing, directing, acting, humor, heart and cast chemistry. There's not a single thing I would want to change about it, that's how perfect it was.
Score: 10/10
Would I re-watch? Definitely.

School 2013

Main Cast: Lee Jong Suk, Kim Woo Bin, Daniel Choi, Jang Na Ra, Park Se Young
Broadcast Period: December 3, 2012 - January 29, 2013
Quick Thoughts: Not going to lie, this drama for me was all about the bromance. Kim Woo Bin and Lee Jong Suk have the most amazing chemistry and their story-line alone was enough for me to keep on watching. The overall plot was a bit disappointing, but the show dealt with some serious issues in a realistic manner, and for that I applaud it.
Score: 7/10
Would I re-watch? Anything for the bromance.

Master's Sun

Main Cast: Gong Hyo Jin, So Ji Sub, Seo In Guk, Kim Yoo Ri,
Broadcast Period: August 7, 2013 - October 3, 2013
Quick Thoughts: This drama was such a delightful breath of fresh air, and also the first Hong Sisters drama I ever watched. The plot itself was not too groundbreaking, but it was most definitely sweet and made room for plenty of skinship between the two leads whose chemistry was sizzling. Like, serious OTP level right here.
Score: 9/10
Would I re-watch? Obviously.

Main Cast: Go Ara, Jung Woo, Yoo Yeon Seok, Kim Sung Kyun, Son Ho Joon, Baro (B1A4), Min Do Hee (Tiny-G), Sung Dong Il, Lee Il Hwa
Broadcast Period: October 18, 2013 - December 28, 2013
Quick Thoughts: This drama had so many good things going for it, but there were also many aspects that didn't quite work it. The drama was way too long and thus were episodes, and in the end there was too little plot and too much screen-time. It's a shame the because the cast was truly endearing, and although I'm happy with how it ended, it took a tad bit too long to get there.
Score: 7/10
Would I re-watch? Unlikely.

You're All Surrounded
You Are All Surrounded

Main Cast: Cha Seung Won, Lee Seung Gi, Go Ara, Ahn Jae Hyun, Park Jung Min, Oh Yoon Ah, Seo Yi Sook
Broadcast Period: May 7, 2014 - July 17, 2014
Quick Thoughts: I loved the premise of this series, and for the most part I enjoyed the execution as well. There were some parts I wish could have been developed a bit further, and there are certainly some parts I wish could have been less dominating, but I was still quite satisfied with it. To top it off I developed a huge crush on Lee Seung Gi, but can you blame me?
Score: 7,5/10
Would I re-watch? Probably not.

The Producers

Main Cast: Cha Tae Hyun, Gong Hyo Jin, IU, Kim Soo Hyun
Broadcast Period: May 15, 2015 - June 20, 2015
Quick Thoughts: The drama started out as a type of "mockumentary" which I found hilarious, but the Korean audience wasn't having it and it slowly turned into a rom-com instead, which I also was fine with. Still, it was Cindy's powerful story-line that really kept show going, but all the actors had great chemistry and I enjoyed seeing a drama taking place at a broadcast station.
Score: 8/10
Would I re-watch? I might, actually.
