TBT - Hello Venus' "Would You Stay For Tea?"

Released: May 1, 2013

This comeback was the last to include original members Yoo Ara and Yoonjo, and is also their most superior comeback to date. I really miss this line-up and this concept, because what they're doing now is quite unimpressive. Take me back to these golden days!

Glorious Photo Shoots - April Round-Up!

f(x) Sulli - High Cut Magazine Vol.146

Spring has officially arrived, and what better way to celebrate than with this iconic shot of f(x)'s Sulli for "High Cut". Also, about the lack of boys in this post...sorry not sorry.

Song of the Week #41

Xia Junsu - Love Breath

Although his latest album "Flower" was a mixed bag for me, this song in particular made my heart skip a beat at first listen. Incredibly emotional and fairy-tale-like gorgeous; Junsu sings his heart out in this touching ballad. And I don't even like ballads.

Mamamoo and Esna Team Up For "Ahh Oop"

I doubted whether or not I should do this review since this is not a Mamamoo "comeback" per se, but it's so good that I decided I wanted to anyway. Mamamoo are actually making their official 2015 comeback after "Piano Man" later this spring, and this collaboration with fellow singer and label-mate Esna is only a tease for the fans.

TBT - Girl's Day's "Twinkle Twinkle"

Released: March 15, 2011

Back in the day where Girl's Day still had five members and they still rocked the cute concept, a song called "Twinkle Twinkle" was born. The video is strange and wonderful and the song equally so, but I definitely think it was for the best that they left this side behind them.

Song of the Week #40

EXO - El Dorado

Although EXO's new album Exodus personally felt a bit disappointing this one track really stuck with me after I first listened to it. Since I probably won't be reviewing the rest of the album I felt I at least had to share this song since I share a deep connection to their flawless first album, and also because it's pretty amazing.

EXO's MV For "Call Me Baby" Is Surprisingly Pleasant

EXO Get Back to Boy Band Basics on 'Call Me Baby'

Never thought you'd hear me say that now did you? Honestly, I was just about as excited about this EXO comeback as I've been with any of theirs: moderately. Especially since they were coming back at the same time as Miss A, a group whom I always root for more or less, I felt a bit discouraged. There are so many things that I like about EXO: their music, their visual superiority and D.O's honey vocals, but I can't bring myself to fully devote myself to them as fan and I think no matter how much I will come to love their songs I won't ever call myself an EXO-L.

However, there's always a chance for me to grow out of my hatred for them as a concept and for me to realize that maybe they aren't as overrated as I've always found them to be. I certainly think that their new single "Call Me Baby" is a decent step in that direction.

Slay A Little: Miss A Comeback Post

Miss A - Colors

Last time Miss A promoted as a group was in late 2013, which is almost one and a half years ago. Quite a long hiatus if you ask me. My blog wasn't even running at that point, so I never got a chance to review the amazing "Hush" when it came out, which is truly regretful. This time the quartet have switched up their concept a bit since when we last saw them, and they're back with a brighter and sweeter image just in time for spring.

Song of the Week #39

Park Hyo Shin - Wild Flower

This song. This freaking live version. This beautiful man and his magical voice. "Wild Flower" is a stunning song and Park Hyo Shin sings with the rawest kind of emotion, so much that it's basically impossible not to feel moved by his delivery. He's not called "God Hyo Shin" for no reason, that's for sure.

SNSD Releases First Single As 8 - "Catch Me If You Can"

OK, so I might have said that I wouldn't be following SNSD as much now that they kicked Jessica Jung out, but I've come to realize that I'm way too stuck in this group to leave just like that. I mean, as long as Seohyun and Sooyoung are still there I'm afraid you'll have to deal with more OT8 posts from now on.

"Catch Me If You Can" isn't a Korean single but a Japanese one, but SM are releasing a Korean version too because they know how thirsty their fans are. However, this means that we won't be seeing them promoting it in Korea which is a shame because it truly has some wacky choreography. The song is kind of amazing too but the drop is easily the most boring part and it's almost not worth listening to because of. Yet, the "I'm trying to find my heart" lines are stuck on my mind after one listen alone, so I do think I will be listening to it again.

SNSD - Casio Baby-G 2015Since this is more of a brief rant rather than a full-on review (my schedule cannot make room for one right now sadly), I will only shortly discuss the content of the video. Not that there is much discussing, because this is basically a performance video showcasing the choreography on a construction site location (totally normal) with two different set of outfits.

It's as basic as it gets but for the first time in a long while I'm actually impressed by a SNSD performance. They're all perfectly on point and the choreography is one of the better ones I've seen them take on, but I guess they have much more to prove now with one vital member missing. In this case it means Sooyoung, Yoona, Yuri and Hyoyeon getting more lines than the actual vocalists, so I do think there's a bit of overcompensation going on on SM's part here.

Anyhow, I'm not going to lie and say I didn't miss SNSD at all, and I'm actually kind of happy that they've released new material. Although I kind of want to completely ignore them, it seems like a fangirl's heart isn't that easily changed. "Catch Me If You Can" is neither a fantastic song nor does it come with a fantastic video, but it's more than enough to satisfy my cravings right now.

TBT - Super Junior M's "Break Down"

Released: January 6, 2013

I remember loving this song when it came out, absolutely adoring it. The video isn't anything special but the colors are nice, the vocals and dancing are great and it has Henry and Zhoumi in it so what's not to love?

Crayon Pop Redeem Themselves With "FM" a.k.a Comeback Of The Year

Everyone should know about Crayon Pop after their 2013 national hit "Bar Bar Bar", and if you don't then you have some work to do for sure. Coming from a relatively small company with little impact over the industry, this group remained in the shadows until one day when they were everywhere. I mean, they even did a collaboration stage with Ylvis for God's sake!

In 2014 however, they kept it pretty low in 2014 and failed to make big headlines with both their group comeback and twin sub-unit Strawberry Milk. I was at least severely unimpressed by their efforts so I wasn't really anticipating anything at all this time around. Let me just tell you one thing about this comeback: it's AMAZING.

Video of the Week #4

K.Will Covering "I'm Not The Only One" On YHY's Sketchbook

I think we all know just how amazing Sam Smith is and how gorgeous his voice is, but this cover by K.Will is not too far behind the original. The man can sing for sure, and this song suits his voice and range perfectly. Definitely a performance worth watching!

CLC's "Pepe" Is Both Amazing and Underwhelming

CLC - First Love

The last group Cube Entertainment debuted was BtoB, a seven-member boy group with talent, looks and endless amount of potential. I think we can all agree that their skills have gone terribly wasted, and it's hard to understand why that is since they're label-mates with hugely successful acts such as Beast, A Pink and 4Minute.

When I heard that Cube were releasing another group I was excited but also worried. Would the five members of newly debuted CLC (Crystal Clear) meet the same fate or would their company step up their game and promote them in a good manner? Their debut song "Pepe" provides no answer to that question.

Madtown Enters A "New World" For Their Comeback

Last year, a 7-member group called Madtown debuted onto the K-pop scene, and I payed them no attention whatsoever. I think I tried to watch the video for "Yolo" but I didn't even make it through the first minute, and thus my interest for the group died. Also hailing from J. Tune Camp, a.k.a the company that failed to promote Mblaq and Two-X, I wasn't setting my hopes high. However, I thought I might give their new song a try simple partly because I like to be generous, but also because the members in this group are all really attractive.
