More Girl Group Member Departures: Miss A & Nine Muses

Earlier in April this year YG announced that Minzy was leaving 2ne1, which left I think no one surprised considering how neglected she's been all these years (and recently the entire group as well), but little did we know it was going to be the beginning of a new epidemic of female idols leaving their respective groups. Last month Miss A's dancing queen Jia decided not to renew her contract with JYP and thus left Miss A, which was also not a surprise but very sad news. Thinking about Miss A and what they could've been makes me furious because they've been done so wrong by their management, and basically every member that isn't Suzy has been more or less left on their own since her solo career shot through the roof.

Jia is such a multi-talented woman with skills in basically all areas and she seems like really sweet person as well, and I will forever be holding a grudge at JYP for not promoting her better (same with both Min and Fei). For her own sake I definitely think leaving Miss A was the best decision as now she can branch into more fields and areas and most certainly the Chinese market. As for the rest of the group JYP has said that the members will be focusing on solo activities and that there are no plans of a group comeback anytime soon, which confirms to me that Miss A is pretty much done for. They could've been a top tier group and now they're barely a group anymore. This will never not upset and anger me.

Speaking of anger towards a management you can't go a post without mentioning Star Empire and their terrible managing of all of their current groups, one of them being one of my favorites; Nine Muses. This group isn't unfamiliar to member changes and I have kind of been ok with it as it has been pretty unavoidable but the fact that Minha and Euaerin are leaving did come as a shock to me. Back in 2013 the group arguably had their best lineup with nine flawless members, but then shortly after Sera, Lee Sam and Eunji left and my heart was broken. However they later came back in 2015 with another killer lineup and I thought that finally the group might settle but no. Now the balance has been rubbed again and I'm not sure how long I can keep this up. Sure my favorite member Kyungri is still around but it's getting exhausting trying to stan this group as it's always changing its rooster. I guess I'll have to wait until their next comeback but I'm certainly not feeling good about this.

What are your guys' opinion about these members leaving their groups and agencies? Who do you think will be next? What will happen to Miss A?

Top 10 Albums of 2015

This is what I've been waiting all year for; the "Best of" series! I'm going to kick it off with best album but unlike what I said I would do last year I will not be separating the albums into full and mini, because, well, there wasn't enough full albums that I liked. However there will be some restrictions for this list. For it to be counted as a mini album it has to contain at least four songs, excluding an eventual intro, because there were some that I liked but were a bit too short to be counted as a mini album to me. This will be in no particular order because it would be too hard, but here it is; my favorite albums of 2015!

Suzy Looks The Best She's Ever Done For 1st Look; Overrated Who?

I know it's probably a bit overkill for me to write an entirely separate post on this photoshoot that Suzy did with 1st Look as it will end up in my December photoshoot round up, but it's over a month until then and I had to share this with you. It's well known that Miss A's Suzy is a phenomenon, but for some people, international fans most often, she's not that pretty. Like what many think about SNSD's Yoona for example; they're pretty but in a plain, average kind of way. I guess it's because of the different beauty standards of East Asia and the West, but I can totally relate because I didn't find either of the two more beautiful than any other female idol. I gave into the Yoona craze quite quickly though because let's face it, she's a doll, but Suzy took longer.

SNS Friday #1

I've wanted to do this for quite some time now but I didn't really know how to present it up until now. I imagined a weekly recap of some sorts of my favorite social media, or SNS, pictures from idols that have been posted during the week. This is my first attempt, and I don't know how it'll pan out but at least I gave it an honest shot if it would turn out not to be successful. My primary source will be Instagram, naturally, but also Twitter and occasionally Weibo. Let's see how this goes!

With September coming to an end the summer is officially over for this year, but so far where I live the sun is still shining and it appears as if the warmth is holding on to whatever remains of the season. This month's photoshoot round-up embodies the transition between summer and fall, with most of the pictorials falling somewhere in between. One of my favorites is CL's shoot for Vogue as seen above.

This debut song by Miss A is still one of their strongest releases ever, and they've been around for five years now so that says a lot. "Bad Girl, Good Girl" was an instant hit in South Korea when it came out, and made Miss A win their first music show award only 22 days after it was released and their record still stands to this day. The song itself is magnificent and embodies everything Miss A stands for: femininity, power and confidence.

Last time Miss A promoted as a group was in late 2013, which is almost one and a half years ago. Quite a long hiatus if you ask me. My blog wasn't even running at that point, so I never got a chance to review the amazing "Hush" when it came out, which is truly regretful. This time the quartet have switched up their concept a bit since when we last saw them, and they're back with a brighter and sweeter image just in time for spring.

Although I really like her in longer hair her blonde bob has become her signature look, and for good reasons. Few people can be so captivating and look this amazing with this do.

Min has almost always had a shorter hairstyle, and it works magnificently well for her. The few times her hair has been long it looked awkward, but a guess a fierce girl needs a fierce hairstyle.

I still cannot believe how fantastic this blue-gray bob looked on Luna, and how happy I was that SM finally gave her a haircut that made her stand out like the star she is.

Now I know that IU is a fairy princess that looks pretty every single moment of the day, but when she cut her hair I was in awe of how effortlessly she could transition from long to short.
